Subject: Tragedy at KSU
Dear ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆƽâ°æ campus community,
Our hearts are heavy after the tragic shooting at Kentucky State University in Frankfort on Tuesday afternoon. We extend our deepest sympathy to the KSU students, faculty, staff and families whose lives have been forever changed by this senseless act of violence.
Kentucky’s public universities are connected by a shared commitment to providing a safe, supportive learning environment for our students. When tragedy happens on one campus, all of us feel it. ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆƽâ°æ stands in solidarity with the Kentucky State University community and with all who are grieving.
We are grateful for the swift response of first responders and campus officials who acted to protect those on campus. As the KSU community begins the difficult work of healing, we remain committed to supporting our colleagues across the Commonwealth in any way we can.
