The ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ Workday Project will reach nearly every corner of campus life - enhancing how we work, communicate, and deliver services. Our project team consists of more than 75 ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ employees from HR, Finance and IT roles partnering with subject matter experts from across campus.

Phase Details

Phase 0: Planning | January - May 2025 (Complete)

During Phase Zero, ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ leaders and stakeholders met with Avaap consultants (³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æâ€™s Workday implementation partner) to develop our strategic plan for the Workday Project including, the project vision, goals and objectives.

 

Phase 1: Human Capital Management & Financial Management | May 2025 - June 2026

During Phase One, the ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ Workday Project team configures Workday to meet the Human Capital and Financial Management needs of ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ. In June 2026, at the completion of this phase, Workday will provide ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ employees with a unified platform for HR-related and core financial processes including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, time tracking and payroll, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, expenses and more.
 
Phase 1 Timeline
  • Planning and Design: April - July 2025
    • Setting up Workday to meet the needs of ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ
  • Configuration: July - November 2025
    • The project team configures and tests system sections.
    • Initial previews of ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ Workday start to take shape.
  • Testing: December - March 2026
    • The project team refines Workday with help from ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ Human Resource and Finance specialists who help test the system.
  • Training and Readiness: March – May 2026
    • Training and other resources will help ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ employees navigate and prepare for Workday.
  • Go-Live: June 2026
    • ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ Workday is ready to use! Support will be available for all employees as they use the new system.

Phase 2 | Student Information Services and Reporting | July 2026 - July 2027

In Phase Two, the ³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆÆ½â°æ Workday Project will shift focus to student systems. More information about this phase will be provided in early 2026.
