Justin Otto (MPA 2009)

Justin Otto (MPA 2009) is one of 24 professionals nationwide who've been selected for the Executive Public Information Officer Program听through FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency. He is only the fourth Kentuckian chosen for this executive officer training program, which is run by FEMA's National Disaster and Emergency Management University.听Congrats and kudos, Justin!

鈥淗is selection to this distinguished program is a testament to his professionalism and dedication," said Campbell County Judge/Executive Steve Pendery in a press release. "We are proud that Campbell County will听be represented at the highest national level of public information training.鈥 As many of you know, Justin is currently the Assistant County Administrator and Public Information Officer for Campbell County Fiscal Court. Prior to this role, he served as the county's Economic and Community Development Director. .


 

Stacie Strotman (MPA 2015)

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has selected Stacie Strotman (MPA 2015) for the Leadership Volunteer Impact Award this year. This award is given to an alum of the Leadership Northern Kentucky or Encounter NKY programs who shares their time and who is accessible to others. Congrats to Stacie on this well-deserved听award!

Stacie and two other NKY Chamber award winners were celebrated during the 2025 Leadership Alumni Awards on Friday, August 22. Ann Marie Whelan, NKY Chamber Director of Leadership, said, 鈥淭hese individuals are shining examples of how leadership makes a difference and strengthens our businesses and our region. They are fantastic representatives of our programs, and we are excited to be giving them听this much-deserved recognition.鈥

Stacie was named as the first President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Partners for Change, formerly known as Covington Partners. Partners for Change is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support services such as mentoring, family听engagement, and out-of-school time programming to Northern Kentucky students.

Emily Kitzmiller North (MPA 2018)

Emily Kitzmiller North (MPA 2018) was selected for a Forty Under 40 Award by the Cincinnati Business Courier! These awards are designed to celebrate the "next generation of leaders" in the Greater听Cincinnati region.

Emily has worked at The Christ Hospital Health Network for nearly four years, currently serving as Marketing & Internal Communications Manager. As some of you may recall, she was recently recognized as the American Heart Association's Woman of Impact in Greater Cincinnati and featured in TIME听Magazine鈥檚 Women of Impact issue.


 

Steve Kelly (MPA 2012)

The Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce selected Steve Kelly (MPA 2012) for an Above & Beyond Individual Award. He was one of only two people selected for the award this year.

This annual award from the Chamber of Commerce "recognizes an individual who goes above and beyond to ensure our community is a great place to live, work, and own a business." As some of you know, Steve became Miami Township's Administrator and Public Safety Director in March 2024, and he previously served as the township's Fire Chief for 10 years.
